Introduction to electro-catalytic water

Electro-catalytic water is a new kind of electrolyzed functional water generated by ordinary natural water passing electro-catalytic water equipment. Electro-catalytic water equipment is SEEF equipment with high energy field. Through technical control, it could quickly generate a large amount of alkaline reduced water, acidic oxidized water and neutral water. The water contains a large amount of transient free radicals, and could be adjusted to strongly acidic or alkaline.
The principle of water electro-catalysis is that ordinary natural water flows through inter-SEEF electrodes with super-high voltage. There is high-voltage electric field between the electrodes, and VOCs dissolved in water are decomposed due to the impact of the ion flow.
High-voltage inter-SEEF electrodes are coated with metal oxides which have an excellent VOC catalytic oxidation ability. In high-voltage electric field, they decompose VOCs through electro-catalysis.
Metal oxide-coated electrodes generate high-voltage electrolysis in water. As a result, a large amount of free radicals are generated in water due to electrochemical action, and redox of free radicals disrupts VOCs in water.
Solution pH regulation can be achieved by designing the internal structure.


A: Acidic electro-catalytic water
The adjustment of internal parameters of the equipment could generate meta-acidic electro-catalytic water containing a large amount of free radicals. Generally, weakly acidic electro-catalytic water (pH 4-7) is used for sterilization and disinfection. A small amount of salt (NaCl) could be added into tap water, and a large amount of NaClO and HClO will be generated under the effect of electro-catalytic water equipment.
B: Neutral electro-catalytic water
The adjustment of the system could generate a large amount of neutral electro-catalytic water. The equipment only electro-catalyzes water to provide it with strong oxidizing effect.
C: Alkaline catalysis water
The adjustment of the system could generate a large amount of OH- and hydroxyl radicals, thus forming weakly alkaline electro-catalytic water.
 




Electro-catalytic water is divided into three kinds of functional water: acidic, alkaline and neutral functional water, each with different purpose. Japan Functional Water Society defines functional water as “artificially treated water (solution) with reproducible useful functions, with its treatment method and functions having scientific basis and reliability.”

Fishery: aquaculture
 

Electro-catalytic water could be used in fishery. After electro-catalytic water is filled into the pool, functional water in it will decompose hazardous organics and kill bacteria in the water to improve water quality. Electro-catalytic water could be mixed with fish meal, realize sterilization and disinfection and improve the quality of aquatic products.
 



Animal husbandry and agriculture: meadow growth


Generally, fertilizers, pesticides and other measures are taken to foster meadow growth. However, fertilizers may pollute rivers, and pesticides may directly pollute meadow. After animals eat the grass for a long period, the fertilizers and pesticides will settle in the meat or by-products, and eating these by-products will affect the health of people.
Tap water treated by electro-catalysis equipment could be directly sprayed onto the plant leaf surface, both killing insects and fostering meadow growth.
 


 

With multiple effects such as decomposition, degradation and killing, electro-catalytic water could be used in sterilization and disinfection in water works, aquaculture, treatment of residues on the surface of agricultural and sideline products, sterilization and preservation, etc. According to the type of application, the property of electro-catalytic water could be adjusted.
